A/C access tip - W208 chassis

Hi everyone,

I had a problem getting into a 2000 CLK430 A/C system, using various versions v36.00 & v40.00 with a 38 pin connector.

I discovered that in order to get into the system the A/C must be turned ON in order to scan the module. If you attempt it while off, it will not connect whatsoever and spits out error in communication.

This is for most model groups. You can't comm with a controller that is shut down. The short test will also be affected.
