2006 C230 (203.052) Service reset w/ launch?

I was having trouble doing the Service B reset procedure listed on STAR Tekinfo so I tried using the launch, but could not find a way to reset it.  I have done Mercedes before, but couldn't do this one.  Is there a way or is it just not supported?  I finally got it using the steering wheel buttons, but wondered about using the Launch?

I haven't seen it supported on the later models that have the menu buttons on the steering wheel....Mercedes have made it more and more complicated to perform from the wheel buttons, but still do-able.

I believe you go to cluster-Adaptations-Assyst plus then perform the appropriate Merc service sheet reset.

Hi AutoLKN,

I was wondering about these Benz service procedures, is there some sort of factory reference sheet that states all what is in involved between the various procedures (IE: A vs B vs C..etc)

I wasn't sure if it was only available through MBZ or if you could find an aftermarket source? I see that option come up sometimes when I service them, but I can't ever find a reference for it.

Thanks.

Mr. G

I don't think there is a seperate reset for each service.  I think the ASSYST system just assumes that if you are resetting the light, that the service that it indicated is what you have done.

The latest Benz software update was released after this thread was started.  Not sure if this will work on all MB's with the Assyst, but it looks like it has been addressed.

Benz Diagnostic Program for X-431 Product Family V42.15

Compared with the previous version, the following contents have been added/improved:

1. The ME2.7 and ME2.7.1 engine systems have been detailed divide. The version information, read DTCs, clear DTCs, read data streams, actuation test, and control unit matching functions have been added.

2. The oil zero function has been added for the ASSYST system.

We just did one on a 2008 C300 had to use the steering wheel button system.  Launch does not support the reset - refer to vehicle applications pages. The procedure on All Data (copied from Benz) is wrong, on the phone icon button (rt side of steering wheel) use the inner one not the outer one

And this year i bought this kind of cell phone with cheap price, but i am afraid of his fate then. I hate the noises of irrelevant calls, you know sometimes i just want to be alone, that is enough, anyone knows how can i do? I have got a phone jammer in Google, but I heve no idea of it, ask some profession for help!
