not large enough battery to display datastream
Permalink

I have tried to bring up the datastream on multiple Ford cars and trucks on multiple different modules with the same results.  after I pick the data items it counts up the items and hangs part of the way and goes very slow.  I got it to work once after twenty minutes.  But once it took two hours and almost got there and the batt shut me down.  i have rebooted and disconnected the super 16 from the vehicle and reconnected with no success.  I have tried connecting with the cable onstead of the bluetooth too.  when it starts counting the odometer shows dashes all the way across the display and some dash light come on ontil I disconnect everything.  running latest updated sofeware and database.  have had the X431 tool for about two months now and works great on other makes.  anybody got any help

Even though the Super-16 is "universal", I would try a different connector.  If I remember correctly, there have been a few isolated issues with the S-16 on certain vehicles.

It could also be a software issue with the version you are using.  I would re-download/update the latest Ford software version and also add an older version or two on your scan tool.

Yes according to me this is just due to the problem in software version of database. you must update it before doing any extra work.
