This is just a general question of your experience with the Launch Tool. The first X-431 I purchased and used with out any problems for about eight years. Last year I "upgraded" to the Launch Tool and as I type, it is at the service center for the third time for warranty repairs. First time the mother board was replaced...about two months later the touch screen died...and now it has a charging/battery problem.
Each time it is returned it is a matter of about two weeks with out a scanner and I am also concerned that now that it is falling out of warranty if it might be time to maybe look at some alternatives like Autologic or such.
I just really can't afford to be with out a scanner for weeks at a time...
I asked about a loaner...but I'm on the other side of the country . By the time my scanner breaks, get authorization for return, get it shipped it would take 3-5 working days to receive the loaner....... if they are very prompt in shipping it.
With vehicles being the way they are these days, it goes without saying that it is hard to go just a day without a scanner.
I was just wondering about the overall stability of this scanner. I was just curious if I was the only one having these problems.
The 'Tool' is pretty reliable. I've definitely seen more problems with the Master/Diagun. Overall, Launch is above average on hardware quality vs. other aftermarket tools.
