I have had my euro pro for a week now. i am pretty impressed so far. but i was surprised when yesterday i tried to code a new dsc control unit an 06 e46 m3 and my euro pro stated that this software had not been developed yet. has anyone else tried this? have i downloaded and old version of software?

I have run into the same issues, it will pull the info from the module but will not reprogram. In fact we have had several problems like that with other vehicles as well, I am not super impressed with this scanner yet.

I'm noticing that the latest software has removed some of the ZCS coding capabilities.  My guess is since it isn't 100% developed for all variants the engineers have decided to remove it until it is fixed???

Add some older software versions and you'll likely be in luck again.

Some older BMW versions I always keep on my scanner:  44.40 , 42.00, 38.00

I've had success and failure when trying to code E46 abs/dsc modules.

One key issue is if you need to relearn the sensors (steering angle, lateral acceleration and/or rotational rate), you're going to need an OE level tool.

ok silly question is how do i keep different software levels on the tool at once? i may be a capable tech, but with minimal knowledge about computers and such.

Easiest way would be to never format your flash card, essentially you would install new versions on top of the old ones, and you would have multiple choices to choose from.

Optionally, you can manually select the "version" number when downloading from the x431.com Download Center. Then you can add this to your download folder where you keep the current SW download files.

Hope this helps,

Mr. G

so has it change now? when I got my Diagun, the talk was to make sure you format the flash card to prevent problem. some even suggested that it gets format twice before install new updates.
