1. Is this scan tool tablet supposed to be as good as the x-431 pad?
2. it says it can do graphing and such so are the PAD modules(scope, sensor, battery, & j- box) compatible with this android tablet?
3. For a ASE Master Certified Tech that owns his own shop working on all years, makes, & models witch full featured scan tool would yall recommend? The Scanpad 071 Android or the x-431 windows pad with all 3 PAD modules & j-box. or would you recommend another product?
Here are some answers to your questions listed here below.
1. All of our Android Scan Pads 071 and 101 series have the exact same vehicle diagnostic software coverage as the original X431-Pad with OBD1 and OBD2 vehicles. The main difference is the original X431-Pad is Windows CE based and this Scan Pad is multi-tasking capable Android.
2. The Scan Pad 071 can graph up to 4 multiple value PIDS on the same screen, while the ScanPad 101 can graph up to 10 items on same screen.
Please note: the additional add-on modules for the 4-Channel Oscilloscope, Sensor Simulator Box, Battery Test Box, are NOT supported on any Scan Pads. Only the Original X431-Pad (windows based) and the latest version of the X431-Pad2 can support the add on modules.
3. As a fellow ASE certified L1 Advanced Level Tech we would like to suggest the Launch Tech X431-Pad 2 Android Tablet because it will include all of the extra adapters and cables for older OBD1 and OBD2 vehicles. Also the X431-Pad2 will accept the add on modules for the Scope Box, Sensor Box, and Battery Tester Box. Please note the Launch Tech X431-Pad 2 is the same thing as the Matco Maximus 2.0 Tablet.
Please contact your local Launch Tech or Matco Tools dealer for the best pricing and availability.
