After fiddling with updates all of today Im finally getting the unit to work just a touch better. We have a 2002 Dodge ram with a weird problem and we replaced the distributor because it had a little play in it.
According to Mitchell On-demand we need a scan tool capable of reading when the distributor is in or out of synch. Im aware that it doesnt control the ignition timing. I was trying to find the option to adjust the distributor, anyone taken on this adjustment with the Maximus 2.0?
Make sure you have updated to the latest version of the Chrysler V29.10.
Also make sure you are using the Chrysler CCC-16 pin adapter with extension cable to view any other modules not seen thru standard OBD2-16 pin.
