I have a customer truck that they have lost the key fobs too. It's a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. They have an ignition key that works but it is not a RKE key. They want to replace it with the RKE keys. Can that be done with the Maximus? I see where you can wipe existing keys with it, but I am afraid of disabling the vehicle. Can the new keys be programed with the Maximus after the lost keys are removed?

According to the most current Chrysler Version V29.40 and V29.20 only shows the Special Functions for SKIM module and RKE type systems.
Based on your brief description it appears this vehicle may be equipped with the WCM (Wireless Control Module).
Many newer Chrysler vehicles us wireless switches and fob-like keys. These are simply key-fobs that are used to turn a wireless switch that sends ignition switch position signals to the remote keyless entry system. On these applications the ignition switch is just simply a data message to the Wireless Control Module (WCM). The switch position is sent to the PCM and other modules on the CAN network.
Sorry, but unfortunately this vehicle must be originally equipped with the RKE type keys from the factory in order to use the RKE set-up.
