I had an SRS code and am pretty sure I fixed it. I cleared to DTC and figured I'd look at the data stream. Very odd results. for instance the data stream function didn't always seem to show as an option. OK eventually it did, but then when reading the data stream for seat belt plugged in it always said no. No matter what. I want to my other E46, which never had an SRS light come on and I got the same result. The scanner is showing I have v11.30 loaded and from what I can tell that is the current BMW version. Can someone shed some light on what I am doing wrong? Otherwise I am returning this thing.
Apparently I have to download and older datafile to match my older car (not that old 2004). When I try to load an older BMW file I get an error about softlist is empty. I tried it for my Toyota and it worked fine. Where are the older BMW files?
