Will the Crecorder drain the battery if left in the 16pin DLC while the car is not running? Thanks!

It is completely impossible for a CRecorder (ET3010) to drain the battery of a vehicle! If a CRecorder ever interferes with the functions of a vehicle (makes the spedometer needle move, IC lights flash) remove it from the vehicle; something in the wiring is abnormal.

On the early Crecorders many GM vehicles would have dead batteries overnight. It was not because of a car problem. The Crecorder kept the network from shutting down.
