Is Super 16 a new connector that X431 users need Or can use? I noticed a download referring to in on the website. 

If I need one to enhance my X431, how do I get it?

i think the super 16 takes the place of most other connectors .....kind of like when genisys stopped using the inserts 
...i'm still using the can2 ....i'm not so sure the purchase of a super 16 is required yet

The Super 16 will replace the 16 pin connectors with one unit. The tool will work with either. The software download is to update that connector.

Super16s will replace 16pin and OBD connector and some other connectors made by Launch.
It's the hot sales now! cheers

If the software only gives the option for communication via a Super 16 connector, you will be required to use it. This can be easily bypassed by using the previous version of software for that manufacturer(s).

The Super 16 will not replace the Chrysler 16 or Audi 16 KL Converter.
