was not communicating with a 2003 c240 chassis 203.061 (manuf date 9/03) using V.38 and V.34 and the canbus II connector. needed airbags and in the latest update there was not even an option for my year/model. decided to try V34 and found the model year and chassis...however i was not communicating still. i decided to select the previous manufacture date (i was choosing the option "as of 9/03"...selected "up to 8/03" instead.) I WAS ABLE TO COMMUNICATE!

Awesome tip! I find some companies are cross compatible and you can enter through a different model. It doesn't hurt to try!
