1995 Discovery II. Can not communicate with ANY module in the vehicle. Initially tried for ABS, but it won't even talk to the engine module.

Tried version - 24.00, 24.10, 29.11, 29.30 and no luck.

Also tried Smart-16, OBD II -16c.

I did have a 2000 Discovery II, and it managed to get into the ECU and Trans, but not the SRS/ABS.

Help!

The 16 pin plug in that 95 unit will more than likely only support OBDII generic. The other controllers will each have a seperate colored plug for diagnostics. Red, Blue, Green, and yellow. The ABS controller will use the blue and the SRS will use the green connector. The red connector will support Air ride or CUS Engine Mgt.

Launch does not support these controllers. You can get the engine codes and limited data from generic OBDII.

As far as the 2000 I am not aware of any issues getting into the ABS and SRS. You should be using the -16C and remember to cycle the key off then on before selecting either of these controllers from 1999 through 2001.

Wow I've never heard of that before, so each time you try to enter a module, you must cycle the key off/on? I know a lot of people have problems with these vehicles.

It's only on the ABS and SRS. When you are in one module the key off drops the network and key on refreshes the network.
