Hello all,

Does Launch have a connector for the older Chrysler CCD Bus connector, you know, the blue 6 terminal one under the dash or behind the fuse box door on the pre OBDII vehicles? Used to communicate with the TCM and ABS?

Collision Crash Detection (CCD) bus is only covered 96 and up on the 16 pin. Reliable operation requires the Chrysler 16.

Ah ha. I now see that pre OBDII Chrysler support on the Launch is only for Engine Control Module with the Chrysler 6 (SCI) connector. I also see that the Launch is prompting me to use Chrysler-16, Chrysler-6, or CAN BUSII connector, giving year ranges for each.

What about this new Super 16 connector? Is it supposed to supercede all the other Launch J1969 (OBDII 16) connectors?

That is the understanding we have. The tool should be able to work either way. I am sure some field testing will go on before major release.
