I tried the tool X431 in a Grand cherokee laredo 1998 6 cyl. It came in ABS light on. the tool won't go in. i had to use my other tool too check it.can it be programming .the tool works in other cars.  do i need the super 16 connector
where to buy .

Typically the 1996-2002 Chrysler vehicles require a optional Chrysler 16 connector to access the ABS/SRS systems. When you said the tool wouldn't go in, did it communicate with ANY modules at all?

Also, what version of the Chrysler software were you using?

I tried from v- 18.00 to v-22.10 i purchase the Chrysler 16 conector and the tool won't log in that Grang cheroky. A other Grand cheroky 02 came in and the tool work ok in the ABS thanks for the reply.

Yes i remenber that i tried the tool in the cheroky 02 both v- 18.00 and v-22.10 i check the trans-the SRS-the ABS-the engine on the 02. the 98 cheroky it's a friend i know yes i tried both V- and the tool did not log in that auto. i re check with my other tool and it logs ok in that auto i do not work a lot in usa auto but i will try the tool in other usa auto. thanks for the reply Mr.G
