Can't get my update tool to install my most recent updates, keep getting this error: "seek failed on not enough space available, update failed!" P.S. I have a screen shot of my error, but for some unknown reason, I cannot attach it to this post using the Host an image tool icon above?

it the error was DECOMPRESSION ERROR the cf card will be full of data and no space you will need to delete some early cars or format the cf card start fresh

how many software versions of each carline do you have on the card ?

I have PLENTY of space on my car, I bought a 512 MB Lexar card over a year ago. If you look at the error, then plesase note, the singular problem is that the SOURCE files from my laptop don't show up. The ones on my flash card show up just fine and indeed I can delete files from the flash card at will.

I logged on and loaded your software and it loaded just fine. Try right clicking the card and format. Then download all of the software new including the display programs and let me know if this takes care of it.

OK, am trying that right now. I sure hope this works, cause I just erased everything and now have no tool to use...am reloading all info and biting my nails. Should be done in 15 minutes.

Well I did the re-format, now my flash card is empty. I just sent a win zip screenshot of what's going on, maybe its my laptop ? I am firing up my back up and load my Launch updates to it and see if it works. I can figure out how to post the screenshot to this website, I will, the bb code thing is very confusing.

OK, Coyote helped me get the fix.

First in the event some other poor soul out there runs into the same thing, below is a screen shot of the actual error I was getting.

Now, here's the fix. I created a completely new SOURCE folder on my laptop, then deleted the old folder and Viola! The source folder now shows up and the update tool is working fine!!

the folder that is in your C: drive has over 400 mb of downloaded files you must be storing all updates in this file. if you open up the launch update folder the will be all updates from the past....... of you create a new folder in here named ??????? then save your files from x431.com in to this file it will work okay.......
