No "VIN Write" on a Chrysler?

I replaced the PCM on a 2001 Dodge minivan.  They come pre-programmed, you just need to write the VIN to the module so it doesn't go into "theft" mode.

I could not find anywhere in the Launch to perform this feature.  I was able to use the Snap-On scanner (which suprised me) to perform this.  I don't have the VIN handy, but was wondering if this is a feature I overlooked, or its just not there?

It's not available yet. Some of the day to day important functions have not been addressed. (ie. CKP learns, trans relearns etc.) Hopefully the software groups will start on them soon.

Nothing new that I know of.

I did find out that the "J2534 toolbox" that came from my J2534 interface's website has VIN write and SKIM reset features now.

Have found that most major scan tool brands has this feature and x431 does not, here is a miss from Launch in this regards.

If any Launch fellows there, please research a bit in this area, big oportunity area.

i have the same problem ,,,,,i will have to buy Ds708 Maxidas,,,,that tool can do it

1996 to 2002 all chrysler products got overlooked... my gds and pad are useless with these...
