Did you pay for a software upgrade with your CF card?

This was a new card on a replacement unit shipped from California, I was inserting the CF card for the first time to format the card and install the software.

Mcafee confirmed through my logs there was a virus and a hidden payload file on the card.

No damage was done to my pc or network and it turned out that unit was defective also.

I'm on unit number 3 now and it is trouble-free at this time.

The CF cards from LAUNCH come blank. You should contact the CF card manufacturer.

No it was not blank, and it was not shipped in the holder, it arrived inserted into the unit unlike the other units. The other files on the card were already updated with the boxes serial number so someone had preloaded the files.

This will be reported to the engineers, I am glad that you were able to protect yourself from any damage.

If you need a replacement, contact the USA Branch directly, ask for the Sales dept.
