Can the diagun perform the cylinder power balance test like the OE scan tool does? I am talking to a ford tech who is interested about it.
He showed me the OE tool, it showes the cylinders across the top of the screen in the firing order and it graphs from left to right.
When there is a missfire on a specific cylinder, the graph goes either to the top of the page or bottom. It will do this for each cylinder that is missing.
Please tell me where to find this if it does it.
If it does not do it, is this feature being looked at and when might it be added?
The vehical we were looking at was a 08 powerstroke. He told me all of the late model fords look the same when performing this test.
The launch software does not currently have this feature, but after talking to tech support at length, they informed me engineering was working as we speak on adding that feature.
They also informed they planned on adding more OEM features, like individual injector tests/controls, etc.
They didn't give me a firm ETA, but they said look for it in the next upcoming update.
