Unable to read data stream  / code using the 12 + 16 Y cable as directed on screen

Generic seems to work

What Mitsu version are you using?  I had a similar issue with an early OBD-II mitsu and my diagun.  I tried an older software version and it would communicate with the 12+16 OBD-I cable.  I used version 24.03.

Sometimes with older vehicles it pays to try older versions of the software.

Thanks - I am on vacation this week but I will try my best to remember to check when I get back

I know I am using the lastest software as we have just purchased the tool a couple weeks ago and the tool dealer loaded the latest one

also try telling the scanner it's a  chrysler product ....dodge avenger maybe
