While our X431s can't program, there are some things that don't even require programming in certain situtations, such as adding keys.  I wanted to share some info I gained regarding Ford PATS keys and how to relearn a key to a system, NOT HOW TO PROGRAM A NEW KEY!!

I found this great article on the various Ford PATS systems, along with how to add a spare key without using a factory tool:

What you want to look at is the gray column all the way on the right "Spare Key Programming Using Programmed Keys".  This chart will let you know if it's possible to add an additional key to the system.
