software V. 39.11
diaplay V.24.47

set it up using  vehicle model > north america > canada > pathfinder > r50  > 1998.
getting the comunication error. tried both the 16 pin DLC and the 14 pin one.

seems to work fine when I use the generic OBD II.

please tell me it not just me no

don't have that option anymore with V39.11

edit: just had a 05 sentra that came in and it scans with no problems. communication error seems to happen with vehicles from 97-99 model years

What other options were listed with Canada?

One thing that works for me with the pre '99 Nissans is eariler software. I've witnessed it on a Tool in the past.

Usually my rule of thumb is anything with a 14 pin connector, fall back to a v28,v29 or v30.

 after Canada, it just lists all the available vehicles, from 350Z - Xterra. once you select the model year, it automatically scans the vehical systems, then the communication error comes up

Thank you Mr.G. I could only go back to v32 but that did the trick. at least I'll know for next time
