My first post dissapeared? In sum it Took 2 days to get my Launch Pad to update, so I could use it. And now first vehicle I scan it will not communicate with the Pcm. 99 GMC Sierra 5.3L v-8 , it communicates with the ABS, and SRS modules, but no PCM. I am very sorry I bought it.... Beware, the Launch Pad is full of bugs and is not fast like the ads say. It does not compare to the GDS I have, the GDS has been great! except for the power button.
More info about the PAD and GDS, both will not communicate properly with Chrysler vehicles unless you purchase another adaptor for 200.00. NOWHERES DOES THE SALES AD STATE THIS FACT!!!! I am currently working in a domestic vehicle environment, needing a reliable scanner, guess what? it does not work on Chrysler vehicles, and I spent 7000,00 between 2 scanners, GDS and PAD!!! now have to spend more money?
Wise move Sloth.... Im stuck with mine... and am getting NO help from Launch Tech and Mac Tools. I feel Ive been lied to deceived and taken by misleading ads! Now I wished I kept my Modis....
STILL NO FIX, A WORTHLESS POS, WILL NOT COMMUNICATE WITH CHRYSLER VEHICLES. LAUNCH WAS SUPPOSED TO SEND ME A CHRYSLER 16 ADAPTOR, BUT SENT ME A DIAGUN CABLE!!! LIKE WTF!! GAMES!!! MAC TOOLS AND LAUNCH IS EATING THIS TOOL. IT IS USELESS!!!
Still no support..... get answering machine everytime I call Launch... with no call back.... is it because the Pad is a dud and they know it? so Im being blowed off? Thank you Launch for ripping me off for 4000 dollars....
Still no support and followup on the REQUIRED adaptor for 1998 to 2000 all Chrysler products!!! NONE!!!! Very very dissapointed with Launch.... Beware to all stay away from Launch!!!
I would like to see someone from Launch reply to this issue. If we are going to spend the money on your products you should answer some questions. I myself fully believe in the launch product & I know there are going to be issues. As long as they are going to work hard and fast to resolve the issues ill continue to support them. BUT WE NEED TO HEAR FROM LAUNCH ON THESE ISSUES ASAP or it will seem to your customers that you really dont care & are full of it....
