BMW CODE conversion to OBD Code
Permalink

Does anyone know how to convert the launch GDS code back to normal OBD code? MY when i try to scan my GDS on BMW, i always get funny code 2B53 which i cant find it in AllData. I have to look on the description and try to figure what does it mean. And today i get this code when i try to scan a BMWx6

1.A737 No message (K-Can: Water Valve 2BF). (What is this???)

2.A834 interlock system : Interlock, one touch control, rear Faulty (Can be figure out)

What does this code mean? Any place or how convert it back to OBD code? Where we can easily google it if we still don’t understand the description.

Why launch make it so difficult to understand for BMW elsewhere on other vehicle i get normal OBD code.

I'm having the same issue reading DTCs for 1997 BMW 328i.  My cheap scanner gives me standard misfire codes.  The x431GDS gives me FO, 1E, EF, 01,0A,1D,EE,44,F2 codes that I can't correlate to standard Pcodes. Also can't see run monitors, O2 and LT, ST fuel trim PIDS.  I'm using the 20 pin connector.  Tried with both the 20 pin and 16 pin options and no difference in DTC display or PID display.  Have a call into Launch and they are researching.  Anyone else experience this and have a solution?
