Hello

 

I just downloaded X431 Idiag American GM software into my IPhone 4S. It appeared to be a successful download and showed paid and completed. The GM diagnostic program opens and scrolls through selections but freezes when it goes in to read data on modules.  "GM diagnosis reading for data please wait" screen freezes. I have tried GM on 2 different cars without success. My other Launch programs work fine on other selections such as, OBD2, BMW & Benz. Did something go wrong during the GM download? I have checked the phone and have sufficient storage space. Thanks

Thanks for your response. No, I did not check firmware update. Where would I find that? I've come across various explanations of updates on the Launch site, but no way I can see to download anything.

You can swipe your screen and you should see tabs.  Diagnose, Maintenance Database, One Key Upgrade and Setting.

One Key Upgrade is where you want to click.  

Firmware update should be there.

My version must be different than yours. When I select diagnose I cant swipe it to a maint database. I only have the Manufacturer icons. But if I select Account I do have a connector firmware upgrade (not update) selection. When I click on this I get an "error occurred" message transferring to an email screen referring to a "bug report" addressed to zhi.liu@ cnlaunch.com. So far I've had zero response from 4 different people at Launch over a 5 day period. It's a shame, I liked this scanner until now.

Here's the follow up to this problem. Launch allowed the program to be paid and downloaded to an obsolete Iphone. The Iphone needed the newest Launch app installed to run the GM program. In order to run the newest app my Iphone needed the newest operating system. My phone does not have enough storage to update to the newest operating system. So in order to use GM I need a new phone. This easily could have been avoided early on with a prompt not allowing installation due to insufficient space.

hy cyclone. bro iphone is not smart in cars against android. you plz choose android phone for it yure GM problem will be solved. launch softwares are verified and checked through different opetating systems. first to be very frank plz understand kernal memory. if you connect to a database.. may be the database is so heavy on yure phone. when you connect to GM it hangs the screen coz of not storage. it hangs due to low kernal memory
