first of all plz tell me that what car are you connecting. well according to picture i see that might be these are the problems as follows
1 your connector is not connected proper
2 check the dlc socket. 12v pin may be fuse blown or open circuit
3 you are selecting wrong software.
4 download the software again. it may be encrypted due to downloading.
