Idiag toyota software fails to connect with ecu of Asian 2001 corolla with 1nz engine.

That sucks.

Does generic function work?

Launch USA does not support idiag at all though.  Might be a wrong forum to ask for help.

Generic function doesn't work either. Anyone knows how to manually select this car because I am not familiar with all those short hand words they use in the software to represent various models?

By looking at SI or experience.  

Ideal data depends on the condition at that moment.

You just need to study.

You'll probably have to contact CNLAUNCH and ask.  Idiag is not supported by Launch USA.
