I love my new X431 V! However, Toyota's/Alldata's/ProDemand's instruction for resetting the yaw sensor with a jumper wire are not so great. I had to use a Hunter alignment machine with CodeLink to reset the sensor, disconnecting the battery and resetting the OneTouch windows (no compass thankfully). Supposedly, this should be done for *every alignment* - ABS and VSM are safety features...
that happened to me with both a Toyota Tacoma and a Toyota corolla....after clearing memory you have to take another step in a different menu...I don't recall exact steps but if I remember I did a "test systems menu" and when I clicked on the VSM fault or one of those it gave a menu to recalibrate yaw sensor, not just clear memory...Two lights flashed on dash for three seconds, the ABS and VSM or something like that.....everything worked afterwards
Buy the way I went back to see what I had done...after clearing memory...you go to "test mode" That will say function is used to calibate yaw rate sensor...doing it caused abs and vsc lights to blink, indicating calibration was complete.
