New Cread Professional CRP123 and it won't read any codes or even identify my 2000 mercedes ml320

Just bought a new CRP123. did the update and plugged it into the car.  It reads NO CODES.  The check engine light is on, the ABS, SRS, BAS ESP and ETC lights are all on, and the car is in limp home mode.  What's up with this machine.  Contacted Launch and they tell me they can't help me because I bought the machine from Amazon.  I paid over $200 for this thing and the company won't stand behind their product?  That's terrible business.  Anyone else have this problem?  I can't believe I'm the only person who bought this scanner from Amazon.

Please note this CRP only uses the standard OBD2-16 pin connector for Generic EOBD2 emissions.

You should be aware in order see other systems on this 2000 Merceds ML320 you will require the BENZ-38 pin connector.

The BENZ-38 pin connector is only supported on our PRO-Level scan tools with FULL Bi-Directional controls.

Sorry, but this CRP123 cannot support the optional BENZ-38 pin connectors.
