Yes I downloaded the pico software over the net. Pico software is free. I have the four channel scoknowpe made by pico. It works perfectly. I thought everyone should know. It does take a while to install. So don't get discoraged when it takes a while. But it does work.

Ok let me clarify, did you install the pico software on the maximus? I am a little confused because you said yes then said you have pico scope. Is the maximus android right? I have the pad 2 from cornwell tools which is the basic pad with no other software. its the unmolested pad 2, the way it came from launch.

yes, I have a pico scope. Its a 4 channel usb scope. You usually have to download pico latest software to a labtop or install the cd that comes with the scope to a labtop or pc. I own the launch x431 pad scantool. Im not sure if its like the pad 2. I downloaded pico latest software to my launch x431 and saved it on my windows7 desktop. Opened the icon and plugged my pico into the x431 pad usb and it works fine. I never seen the pad2. Isnt that the newer version of the x431? I would think the pico should work on yours as long as you have a usb port and can get to the windows desktop.

I just checked the pad2 on the cornwell truck today. I see what your talking about. I do like the fact that the pad2 has a lot more harddrive space. I like to keep my old software updates because sometimes the new ones that I buy have some glitches. Then I just scroll down to the older software so I can scan the car properly. But it looks like next time I update i will be out of harddrive space. Unless i can figure out how to move some of the old software to a flash drive or something.

i dont know about the pad but the pad 2 must have partitions set up. There is 1gb for android and like 23gb reserved for launch files. I did quite a bit of research, cornwell has the best price on the pad 2- fyi. Does your pad have an sd slot?

Yes it has a sd slot. Will that help me in anyway? The thing I hate about being in this line of work is how fast the technology changes. I remember when I bought my first otc scanner in the ninetys. They said it would never get outdated. I cant count how many scanners I had since then. Its like buying a tv now days. You pay a thousand dollars and a week later the same tv goes for A hundred bucks! LOL
