01 Ford Windstar - Can not access PATS?

x431 GDS, currently updated. Can not access the PATS system on this vehicle to program keys for new PCM. Does this scanner not have the capabilities for this make/year?

OBDII socket on Nissan and ford USA

I have Launch X431 Master that can diagnose Nissan and Ford USA up to 2012, but always saying communication error with ECU when I use OBDII 16 pin socket on them, does that means it cant diagnose these vehicles? If It can work on Ford USA can it reprogram the key?

Is there a was to do a buzz test on Ford Powerstrock engines to check the injectors? I'm trying to check a misfire so I don't have to take everything apart because it is a lot of work to get to them since the turbo is in the way.

I got my Launch pad a few weeks ago. I was very interested to see what it would do on my 2001 F350 7.3L Diesel. Needless to say I was VERY disappointed. I think it was only 2 lines of data and no bi-directional controls like cyl. balance test. I hope they do a lot of work for the most popular diesel in the states...

What do you think Mercedes or BMW can we use for family car. Anyway I don't think so and I didn't ever see that anyone is using Mercedes for his family use. I have My own car rental and I often use Ford and Nissan companies cars. Which they specially design for the family purpose.

have a x431 standard that starts loading data gets so far and hangs tried reloading including format card many times no luck tried with external power might have helpt slightly but still wont load. data lights stop flashing like its hung up random spots of frezzure not same spot gds reads no problem

I know with the Ford IDS, you can watch for live misfires (under power balance I think). Will the Launch let me veiw the same data? I have a random misfire code and I suspect a bad coil, but trying to determine which one?

got a 93 Probe GT 2.5L engine with a CEL. the connector labeled "Mazda -17" doesn't fit onto the diagnostic connector under the hood, but the one label "Toyota - 17" does. is it safe to use the toyota connector instead?

Hey everyone, Just a quick tip: I tried to access a 2007 Ford Escape HYBRID abs module only to find that it doesn't exist. If you boot up as a 2008 or 2006, you will gain access to the module. Hope that helps! Mr. G
